AP TET Result 2024 declared: Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh has announced the results for the AP TET July 2024 examination. Sharing the update on social media, he posted (originally in Telugu) “We are releasing today the results of TET-2024 conducted in July this year. The Mega DSC notification will be released soon. My best wishes to all those who have qualified in TET.”
Initially scheduled for November 2, the result release was postponed due to delays in finalizing the answer key, as reported by local media. The AP TET exams were held from October 3 to 21, 2024, in two daily shifts: the morning session from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
According to data released by the govt of Andhra Pradesh, of the 4,27,300 registered candidates, 3,68,661 appeared for the exam, reflecting a strong attendance rate of 86.28%. Among these, 1,87,256 candidates successfully passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 50.79%.
AP TET Result 2024: Subject-wise pass percentages
In the Telugu and minor media category for Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT), a total of 1,60,017 candidates appeared, of whom 1,04,785 passed, achieving a pass rate of 65.48%. In the SGT Special Schools category, 2,173 candidates appeared with 767 qualifying, resulting in a pass percentage of 35.3%.
For School Assistants (SA) in languages, 55,781 candidates sat for the exam, and 22,080 passed, yielding a pass rate of 39.58%. In the Math and Science category for School Assistants across all media, 88,290 candidates appeared, with 33,525 qualifying, bringing the pass rate to 37.97%.
In Social Studies for SA across all media, 60,442 candidates appeared, with 24,472 passing and a pass rate of 40.49%. The SA Special Schools category saw 1,958 candidates, of whom 1,627 passed, achieving an impressive pass rate of 83.09%.

Originally scheduled from August 5 to 20, the exam was postponed to allow candidates additional preparation time. Prior to the result release, final answer keys for all AP TET 2024 papers were published.
For the AP TET, pass marks are set at 60% for general category candidates, 50% for BC category candidates, and 40% for SC, ST, ex-servicemen, and differently abled (PH) candidates.
