UP Police Recruitment 2023: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), Lucknow, is all set to conduct the OMR-based written examination for direct recruitment to the posts of UP Constable. The examination will take place on the 23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th, and 31st of August 2024 at various centres across Uttar Pradesh. As the exam dates approach, the UPPRPB has released a set of crucial guidelines for candidates to ensure a smooth and fair examination process.
Candidates appearing for the exam must adhere strictly to these guidelines to avoid any inconvenience or disqualification.
Admit Card and Arrival Timing
Candidates must carry the Admit Card issued by the Board along with a valid Aadhaar Card or other forms of identification such as an e-Aadhaar, driving licence, or passport. It is mandatory for candidates to be present at the examination centre at least two hours before the commencement of the examination. This early arrival is crucial, especially for those who have not mentioned their Aadhaar number in their application form, as their verification will need to be completed within the stipulated time. The entry gate at the examination centre will close 30 minutes before the start of the examination, and no candidate will be allowed entry after this time.

Prohibited Items
The UPPRPB has issued a strict list of items that are prohibited at the examination centres. These include any form of text material, whether printed or written, pieces of paper, geometric-pencil boxes, plastic pouches, calculators of any kind, credit or debit cards, scales, copies, pen drives, erasers, log tables, electronic pens or scanners, and digital pens. Additionally, candidates are forbidden from bringing electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, cameras, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, wallets, purses, and any form of jewellery. Other prohibited items include black glasses, handbags, caps, open or packed food items, cigarettes, lighters, matchsticks, and gutkha. If any of these prohibited items are found in a candidate’s possession during the examination, appropriate legal action will be taken.

Security and Verification
To ensure the integrity of the examination, the UPPRPB has implemented technical arrangements to identify any individual attempting to take the exam in place of a registered candidate. Strict legal action will be taken against such individuals and the candidates involved. It is of utmost importance that candidates reach the examination centre on time, study all the instructions mentioned on the admit card carefully, and comply with them fully.
